I have two of them, but he was the first and holds the place in my heart that harvests healing. His name taken from the brother I adored for a whole life, one month short of twenty years. My second encounter with the name Adam Russell Harrold and I have never been the same. I have often thought he is my treasure but today his words confirmed my own feelings of the heart.

Crumpled in his backpack was a piece of paper with these words...

Inside my heart

there are dancing diamonds and amethysts

with swimming seagulls

and enchanted lands full of treasures

and one lovely sun.

Of course there are, my precious child, my eight year old middle son who captures my heart every day and is the soul whose presence challenges my thinking of what pure goodness should look like and who I strive to emulate. A gentle reminder for my mind to recognize my own joy that often goes unnoticed and languishes hidden in my heart.

Thank you my precious son.
