That's Her

That's her, the mom that is always late for school parties and performances.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom that needs a shower but her free time can't be wasted on such frivolousness.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom that used to be overly neurotic about a straight house, but now she has let it all go.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom that has the beautiful daughter that looks the part of a scalawag.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom that airs all her dirty laundry.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom that still hasn't cleaned up from breakfast yesterday.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom that hides behind the excuse of four children, but really she's just conceded defeat.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom whose dreams haven't come to fruition.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom who can't pretend anymore.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom that is throwing caution to the wind and embracing the love and joy that hasn't come in the way she expected.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom, that one day, decided to stop juggling all those balls and start playing the game.
Is she you?

That's her, the mom that got tired of believing that her crazy life wasn't good enough or that she should be a better version of herself.
Is she you?

I hope so.
