Church & Bare Feet

Those words don't even look right to read, yet there they are. Church. Beach. Sunrise service. All of us are so very different and despite that it may not suit you, it is exactly that. My husband sleeps early this morning and I wake our big three to snuggle on a blanket and watch the sun rise. Amos is a wild card, still asleep, and though I wonder if I should wake him up, he and quiet, even on a beach don't exactly mix.

My dad and husband are going to a different service, though my dad's going to this one too. I wanted all of us to go together, I am a creature of habit and I crave tradition. That's my own baggage though, no one else's and it shouldn't rule the day. Easter in Key Biscayne is not a time for perfect photos and crisp white shoes, though it's hard for me to not long for that picture. It's all right though as we are making new traditions and rarely are they as we envisioned. Life is real and lovely and looks different for all of us.

Today, for me is church and shorts and bare feet and three children. Happy Easter. Xo
